What can we do about the dreaded swirl marks on paintwork?
One of the most common questions we get asked here at Falcon Detailing is what can we do about swirl marks on a client’s paintwork. This of course depends on the car in question, however the improvement that can be made is substantial.
By treating a car to a full decontamination of the exterior this allows us to evaluate just how bad the damage to a vehicle’s paint is.
We first use our paint depth gauge to measure the depth of the paintwork so we can calculate just how much clearcoat we have to work with. Depending on several factors we can then select a suitable compound to use to begin to remove/rescue the swirling, this is known as a 1 stage paint enhancement. We can offer multiple stages of paint enhancement which solely depends on what end result a client is looking for.
Once all paintwork enhancement has been completed there is then a choice of sealants from luxury hand-poured wax to ceramic coatings.
